Meet Dr. Joanne Suarez Martinez
Dr. Suarez Martinez specializes in dental care for children, young adults, and individuals with special needs. She truly believes that every child deserves personalized care and attentiveness at each visit, because she understands the importance of positive dental experiences. As a mother herself, she truly cares for every child as if they were her own.
Dr. Suarez Martinez education started at University of California, Irvine, where she graduated with a bachelor of science in biology. Then she went to UCLA School of Dentistry. Upon graduating with honors, she was accepted at the University of Southern California Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry for her residency in pediatric dentistry.
Dr. Suarez Martinez has been practicing in South Orange County for more than 20 years. During her residency, she was involved with Rancho Los Amigos hospital to gain extensive knowledge of special needs children and hospital dentistry.
She has been happily married to her husband Zach for more than 20 years and has two boys in college. She is a HUGE ice hockey fan and both her boys have played at Texas A&M and Oklahoma State. In her spare time, she loves to travel, read, and spend time with her family.
A fun fact: Dr. Suarez Martinez was Mrs. South County for the Mrs. California America Pageant in 2013. During her pageant years, she won Mrs. Congeniality and Mrs. California America Outstanding Woman of the year.
